Fox News Cuts Off Kayleigh McEnany At Presser: “I Can’t In Good Countenance Continue To Show You This”

That's how you do it.

Donald Trump’s campaign on Monday is holding a press conference amid efforts to challenge the election results last week that called the race for President-elect Joe Biden. White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany and RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel were scheduled to speak, but it hasn’t gone down well. Team Trump has been dragging out the election results, claiming that widespread voter fraud occurred, and they claim that’s why the president hasn’t conceded the race.

And this is a good time to walk down memory lane to 2018 when the now-disbanded voting integrity commission launched by the Trump administration uncovered no evidence to support claims of widespread voter fraud. In fact, drafts of a commission report included a section on the evidence of voter fraud that was “glaringly empty.” When then-Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton won the popular vote, Trump suggested it was due to widespread voter fraud, but again, that was disproven.

Now he’s trying to make that claim again without evidence to back that up. So, they trotted out paid liar Kayleigh McEnany who claimed that Democrats were welcoming fraud and illegal votes. That was when Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto cut the White House press secretary off, saying the network could not in good conscience continue to air her false claims, for which she has provided no supporting evidence.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa,” Cavuto said. “I just think we have to be very clear: she’s charging the other side as welcoming fraud and illegal voting, unless she has more details to back that up, I can’t in good countenance continue to show you this.”

“That’s an explosive charge to make, she said, adding, “not so fast.”

Watch:

Trump is dragging out the election to protect his narcissistic ego while our country is in disarray. That’s pretty on-brand for Trump, though.
