This is low even for them.

It’s no secret that the Fox News Network has been blindly following the narrative touted by Donald Trump by downplaying the effects of the coronavirus outbreak that’s killing Americans and people around the globe by the thousands.

Frankly, it’s exactly what we’d expect them to do.

But during a segment last night, the Trump-friendly network hit a new low, even for them, when they mocked and made fun of a CNN anchor who’s suffering from an infection of COVID-19.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham sat down for a segment with contributor Raymond Arroyo and effectively poked fun at the CNN anchors, including Chris Cuomo and Brooke Baldwin, who have contracted the life-threatening virus, comparing them to reality TV personalities by publicly documenting their experiences with the illness that’s raging through this country.

It was an extra ironic move, considering the man they worship at is literally a washed-up reality TV personality. But I digress.

“There seems to be a deliberate attempt to graft a slew of CNN anchors onto this COVID crisis,” Arroyo stated. “A number of them have contracted the virus and emoted their personal experiences. It almost appears they’ve launched a series of new reality shows. You could call this one Are You Sicker Than a CNN Anchor?

“Laura, the self-referential emoting is what is so daunting. People are dying and losing their livelihoods. Chances are, young and healthy anchors will not succumb to the disease. And to keep this narrative going every night that’s so personal, it is disturbing. Because you lose all perspective. It is great to have perspective, but to become the story is a big problem here. And CNN really should tamp down their personal stories,” the Fox News contributor continued.

Ingraham was quick to agree.

Later, the Fox News personality and her guest did say that they were glad to see the CNN anchors recovering from the potentially fatal illness that’s killed over 47,000 people in the United States.

But frankly, that doesn’t even come close to making up for that nonsense.
