Fox News Host Fawns Over Trump’s “Energy And Stamina” As The Rest Of Us Gag To Death

Gag me with a spoon.

While reports are indicating that GOP senators are being discouraged against defending or praising Donald Trump if they want a preacher’s chance in Hell at reelection come November, it looks as though Trump’s beloved Fox News Network is exempt from that rule, and they’re making the most out of it in the most gag-inducing way.

The Fox News show Outnumbered recently sat down and mused over the ordeal surrounding Trump’s on-again, off-again press briefings and made sure to positively fawn over the bloated, reality TV wash-up as they denounced the White House press pool for their “hatred” of the president.

Of course, Trump pressers have recently lost their appeal to pretty much everyone once the guy started to suggest that we inject disinfectants to combat the coronavirus. But there’s not a chance that Fox News is going to admit as much.

So during their panel debate, they took to some serious brown-nosing instead.

Host Katie Pavlich referred to the briefings as “enormously helpful” to the American public while Dr. Marc Siegel doubled-down on the praise and simultaneously attempted to shift some of the blame onto someone else.

“It isn’t just the president talking,” Siegel stated. “All these people come into the microphone and inform the American public.”

The doctor went on to admit that “big” mistakes were made during the briefings but didn’t linger on the topic long at all before shifting to an attack against the media.

“The issue is though, unfortunately, a lot of this information gets politicized,” he stated. “It gets bandied about in the media like some kind of contact sport. That is so deeply disturbing. One mistake — I’m not saying mistakes haven’t been made, big ones have been made, obviously – but the idea that people are waiting in the wings to take this information, attack the president or other people in the task force, is not helping in the fight against this virus.”

Lara Logan piped in with her own attack against the media while praising Trump, suggesting that he should “replace those reporters with ones who actually don’t have such a hatred for the president and such a history and record of hostility in all of the interactions and their reporting.”

Another member of the panel, Melissa Francis, was quick to add her own praise for Donald, probably the most gag-inducing of them all, when she took to fawning over his “stamina”:

I can’t believe he kept it up this long. I mean, this president, it shocks me every day the amount of energy and stamina he has. I don’t think any of the rest of us can keep up with him, and I have no idea how he does it. We couldn’t stand there for hours and hours every day. I know I couldn’t. I think it had to end at some point, and it makes sense to have it now because we are seeing the curve flatten…We are not out of the woods, and I don’t mean to imply that in any way, but it does feel like we turned a corner and we are getting closer to opening things back up all around the country. So it’s a perfectly logical time. It did get to the point where reporters were going into ‘gotcha’ mode, but they will always do that. That’s just sort of the nature of the beast. This time it’s more exaggerated than in the past, but this is a totally different president.”

Meanwhile, the White House can’t figure out which way is up when it comes to these pressers or if there’s even going to be one.

Frankly, I think “stamina” translates to “stimulants” and I won’t be the slightest bit sad if we never have to listen to that load of hot air again.
