Even Fox News knows...

It’s been more than two months, people. It’s been more than two months since President Joe Biden was inaugurated to the Presidency of the United States and Donald Trump left the White House with his golf clubs and grifter children in tow, his head hung in shame, a “ceremony” as embarrassing as his term to send him off. It’s been even longer still since the November 2020 election that Joe Biden one, giving Donald and his people an adequate warning that his days in office were coming to a close.

Yet, since well before the election even took place, Donald Trump has been peddling what has been aptly dubbed the “Big Lie” — the categorically false, conspiracy theorists claim that the election was stolen from Trump and wrongfully handed to Joe Biden through mass voter fraud. These claims have been debunked and disproven more times than I can count now. Even Donald’s own people have admitted that there was no voter fraud, their guy lost the election fair and square.

Yet here we are, all these weeks and months later, and the ex-president still just will not let it go.

As I’m sure you know by now, Fox News Network recently found themselves in quite a bit of hot water as Smartmatic Voting Systems has slapped them with a staggering $2.7 billion lawsuit against the network as well as Lou Dobbs, Maria Bartiromo, Jeanine Pirro, as well as pro-Trump lawyers Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell, in which they accuse them of engaging in a “disinformation campaign” that defamed their company, in connection to the Trump-backed Big Lie.

And it seems the network knows good and well that the lawsuit has a leg to stand on.

Recently, Donald Trump sat down for a live phone interview with Fox host Laura Ingraham and it unsurprisingly took him no time to start in on an unhinged rant regarding the election conspiracy theory.

The Fox host had asked for the former President for his thoughts on the H.R. 1 voting rights bill as well as various other election laws that are currently being debated in states all across the country.

Donald quickly denounced the bill as Democrats “trying to get something with no voter I.D., no signature verification, send all the ballots you can,” and proclaimed that “you will never have another fair election in this country.”

“Just like, if you look at the last election, it was disgraceful,” Trump rambled on, going on to call it “a third-world election” and “a disgrace.”

He then quickly directed his ire at the Supreme Court that served as no help to him through his multiple election-related lawsuits, say that the justices of the court “should be ashamed of themselves” for refusing to use their position to overturn the election for him.

“What they did was absolutely disgraceful, and if you look at the numbers, the numbers were vastly in favor of us in the presidential election. It was disgraceful that they were able to get away — the Supreme Court did not have the courage to do what they had to do,” he fumed.

But it seemed Laura remembered that pesky little lawsuit their dealing with and quickly moved to cut the former president off before he popped his tinfoil hat on.

“Mr. …yeah, well…” Ingraham interrupted, but Trump kept hammering on.

“Speaking as a lawyer, we are not going to relitigate the past tonight,” the Fox News host who graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law interjected. “But speaking as a lawyer, I think, going forward, I think any candidate running for office has to have an impeccable legal strategy in place before — like come along before the election takes place, because a lot of people saw a lot of problems coming, verification problems coming, but I don’t think the legal situation was in place, and that hurts everybody along the way.”

“No, the courts did not want to enforce it,” Donald doubled down. “You know that, Laura. You know exactly that. And the Supreme Court, when you had Texas and 18 states, the Supreme Court said they don’t have standing. The Supreme Court didn’t want to hear it.”

“A lot of Republicans on that court,” Ingraham was sure to note.

“They didn’t have the courage to do what they had to do,” Trump fumed in response.

It truly makes me wonder when Trump will realize that pretty much everyone knows the Big Lie claims are just that — a big lie.
