French President Macron Appears To Take A Dig At Donald Trump During G7 Summit

Our allies are so relieved.

Donald Trump treated our allies terribly during his four long years in office. The twice-impeached one-term president even pushed the Montenegrin prime minister from his path to stand in front of everyone. It was thoroughly embarrassing for us in the U.S., too, with world leaders repeatedly laughing at Trump. He walked in front of the Queen when he went to the U.K. Trump is a buffoon, and he isolated us from our allies.

World leaders have stepped up to promote the COVID-19 vaccine, Trump never did. The rest of the world must have watched in horror at Trump giving super-spreader rallies and dancing to YMCA while Americans were dying. But now, with President Joe Biden at the helm, the rest of the world is breathing a sigh of relief.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who at one time was Trump-friendly, called President Biden a “breath of fresh air.” And now, French President Emmanuel Macron echoed pretty much the same sentiment and praised Biden’s leadership.

When Biden was asked by a reporter if America was back, the President turned to Macron and gestured with his sunglasses towards the French leader to answer that question.

“Yes, definitely,” Macron said. “It’s great to have a U.S. president who’s part of the club and very willing to cooperate.”

“What you demonstrate is that leadership is partnership,” Macron told Biden, according to CNBC.

President Biden concurred.

“The United States, I’ve said before, we’re back,” Biden said. “Things are going, I think, well, and we’re, as we say back in the States, we’re on the same page.”

Macron said that the United States is back as a cooperative leader of the free world under President Joe Biden.

According to CNN,  “Officials attending this week’s Group of 7 summit on the Cornish coast in England are emerging shell-shocked after four years dealing with a US president who often appeared intent on injecting animosity into their gatherings.”

Do you think it's ok Jeff Bezos doesn't pay taxes, takes a trip to space and still asks the US taxpayer for $10B?

We’re shell-shocked, too. Trump did a lot of damage during his one term in office. It will take years to repair it. Biden is exactly what we needed at this time after four years of absolute chaos.
