Donald Trump was busy working hard for Americans amid the national crisis by rage-tweeting at 1:00 am to take a shot at George Conway, among others, after a devastating ad was released titled “Mourning In America.” The ad was created by a group of Republicans, including George Conway.
We’re not sure that the president knows the difference between morning and mourning, but he did attach a nickname to Conway, which is Trump’s modus operandi. White House counselor Kellyanne Conway’s husband apparently earned the moniker “Moonface” from her boss, and George seems to be okay with that.
Conway tweeted his response and shared other tweets in which he’s called “Moonface.” Say what you will about the guy, but he’s fucked up funny. Conway even signed one of his tweets to the president, “Your friend, Moonface.”
Dear Mr. President:
My friend @WindsorMann, who gave me the idea that we do a “Mourning in America” (not “Morning”) ad, is sad you didn’t rage-tweet at him. Could you take a moment from your busy day of abject self-pity to attack him? Many thanks.
Love,
Your friend,
Moonface https://t.co/FUZr78PfIO pic.twitter.com/V5z2Wr0emO— George Conway, Noble Committee Chair (@gtconway3d) May 5, 2020

Conway even added “Moonface” to his Twitter profile, and continued to tweet.
It’s really dark and empty in here. Perfect for social distancing. Lots of bats tho. Please bring lights and furniture. https://t.co/xgIKQDLt5i

Now, to complete the picture, all we need are the details on the hamburgers Trump was eating while watching Tucker (“working”). Cheese? American or cheddar? Medium or medium rare? Pickle? Fries? https://t.co/LfPvo9gv5Z

So I have an idea for another ad. Orangeface isn’t gonna like it.

Conway retweeted this:

The Constitution will exact its price this fall for GOP senators’ betrayal of their oaths. https://t.co/7oMB1vK2Sf

Conway, a Republican, and his colleagues with the Lincoln Project have had it with Trump’s infantile presidency. While Trump is calling them “losers” on Twitter, it’s evident that the ad hit a nerve with the president. Trump can no longer ride on former President Barack Obama’s economic coattails. The healthy economy Trump was gifted with is now a dumpster fire because the president failed to act promptly on the coronavirus when he first learned of the looming threat in November.
