George W. Bush Publicly Rebukes Donald Trump, Reportedly Set To Headline Fundraiser For One Of Ex-President’s Sworn Enemies

Trump's going to LOSE IT over this one.

Former President George W. Bush generally keeps pretty quiet these days and stays relatively far away from the political scene. But it seems even he is willing to dip his toes back into the ring if it means proverbially spitting in Donald Trump’s face.

I think it’s pretty safe to say that ex-president #45 is going to lose his entire mind over the bombshell new announcement that former Republican President George W. Bush is now set to headline a fundraising event in his home state of Texas later this month for none other than Georgia’s incumbent Republican Governor Brian Kemp — a man who’s been dubbed a sworn enemy of Donald Trump’s ever since Kemp refused to help him overthrow the 2020 US presidential election that he brutally lost to Joe Biden.

Just recently, Trump made quite the display out of publicly endorsing Kemp’s Republican opponent in the upcoming race, David Perdue, and has been more than clear in his desire to see the incumbent candidate not only run out of the race but out of the Republican party as a whole, simply because Kemp refused to go along with his Big Lie conspiracy theories and his attempted coup against the US.

But despite Trump’s claims that he’s a “kingmaker” within the GOP when it comes to his endorsements, Perdue is still trailing far behind Kemp, as the incumbent governor continues to boast a 38-point lead over his GOP opponent in the latest polls. This would, of course, be a brutal blow not only to Donald Trump’s fragile but overinflated ego but also to his position as a man whose endorsements are worth their weight in gold. A Kemp win would also serve as a massive hit to Trump’s desperate attempts to maintain control over the Republican party as a whole.

Politico reports that “tickets for a V.I.P. reception are listed at $15,200, while the general reception is going for $5,000,” for the Kemp fundraiser that Bush is set to headline.

“The fundraiser with Bush this month will put Kemp in front of an influential room of Texas donors just days before the Georgia primary on May 24. Hosts of the May 16 event include Crow; Jim Francis, a major Texas bundler; Republican strategist Karl Rove; and Ross Perot, Jr., son of the former presidential candidate,” the report goes on to read, highlighting Bush’s influence within the GOP.
