Giuliani Appears To Brag About Impeachment Vote By Posting Photos Of Himself Smoking A Celebratory Cigar

Gloating on a nauseatingly insulting level.

President Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani celebrated the betrayal of America and the Constitution by Senate Republicans on Friday night by lighting up a cigar and posting smug pictures of himself smoking it on Twitter.

Despite more and more damning evidence coming to light and an uproar of demand for witness testimony from the American people, Republicans officially killed all hope that witnesses would be called in a vote that will live in infamy for generations to come.

The vote all but ensures that Trump will get away with his attempt to extort Ukraine into investigating his political rivals ahead of the 2020 election, and Senate Republicans will likely acquit him to end the impeachment trial next week.

Again, 75 percent of Americans wanted Senate Republicans to call witnesses, so it’s pretty clear that Republicans did not respect the voice of the people.

It’s also clear that Republicans are celebrating the rigged trial they delivered for Trump, with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) getting caught walking through the hallways of Congress with a grin on his face, which provoked outrage.

Well, now Giuliani is outraging Americans with pictures of his own, including one of him smoking a celebratory cigar in the wake of the Senate vote all while once again claiming that Democrats are engaged in an attempted coup against Trump.

So, it appears Trump and Giuliani intend to continue their persecution campaign against Democrats they consider their enemies even though there is zero evidence whatsoever that they did anything illegal. Also, impeachment is not a “coup,” it’s a legal method of removing a corrupt president as laid out by the Constitution.

Republicans are literally celebrating their disgraceful assault on constitutional norms and democracy, and it’s absolutely sickening.
