How's that for a #MAGAChallenge, Donnie?

Today marks the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall — a barrier meant to seal off the East and West portions of Germany.

As expected, many prominent figures from across the globe are commemorating the day in many different ways. German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who grew up in East Germany said today during a memorial service, “The Berlin Wall, ladies and gentlemen, is history, and it teaches us: No wall that keeps people out and restricts freedom is so high or so wide that it can’t be broken down. We want to ensure that no wall will separate people ever again. It proves that no wall is so high and so strong that we could not break it.”

But what is Donald Trump doing, you may ask? Keeping his ass quiet about walls, that’s what. Instead, tweeting out Nationalism support — which is especially ironic, considering.

But don’t you worry. One Berlin group is making damn sure Donald won’t be able to forget what ultimately happens to walls like the one he wants so desperately to build at our southern border.

Berlin-based pro-democracy nonprofit group Die Offene Gesellschaft (The Open Society) is sending Donnie a 2.7-ton chunk of the Berlin wall straight to the White House complete with a message for the president, himself.

“We would like to give you one of the last pieces of the failed Berlin Wall to commemorate the United States’ dedication to building a world without walls,” the message inscribed on the section of the Berlin Wall reads. “Germany is united again and in Berlin, only a few scattered pieces remind us that no wall lasts forever.”

They finished it off by signing the chunk, “Citizens of Berlin.”

The slab, which was purchased from a dealer in the German capital then flown to New York and taken by truck to D.C. is set to be delivered to the White House tonight, on the exact anniversary of the Berlin Wall’s demise.

However, Fox News seems to believe that the Trump administration won’t be accepting the gift.

The demonstration by the group is meant as a protest against Trump’s plans to construct a similar wall at our southern border to deter immigrants from Mexico.

The managing director of Die Offene Gesellshaft, Philip Husemann told Quartz.com: “If the President accepts the letter, it’s his. But gifts to a sitting president always belong to the United States and not to the individual in office. It belongs to the people. So we hope this letter will end up in a public place where all citizens can read it. After all, the main message is a big ‘thank you’ from the Berliners to the United States and its people.”

The slab also recognizes the USA’s contribution to the wall’s ultimate demise and overall promotion of freedom.

“For decades the United States played a major role in bringing this wall down. From John F. Kennedy to Ronald Reagan, the Presidents of the USA fought against it,” Husemann stated.

The German group has asked that people go to their website and sign their name underneath an image of the slab that’s headed Trump’s way to show their protest of Trump’s wall plans.

Will Trump accept it? Probably not. Is it a big, huge, in-your-face statement that he’ll likely never forget? You bet your ass. And that’s what really matters, right?
