Horribly Awkward Movie Clip Played On The Big Screen At Trump Rally As Ex-President Runs Late Yet Again, And People Are Pretty Freaked Out

Uhm... What?!

Listen, we all knew that Donald Trump’s MAGA rally in Des Moines, Idaho, was going to be completely insane — as per the usual with these things. However, it seems like every time he holds one of these events, he manages to freak us all out a little bit more than the last time.

Now, once again, Donnie was late. For someone who’s so obsessed with talking in front of a bunch of people who are equally obsessed with him, he’s never been great at showing up on time for much of anything. Tonight’s big Idaho rally was no exception. However, this was the first time (that I’m aware of, anyway) that he or his people decided it’d be a good idea to play a literal movie clip on the big screen while the crowd waited.

Erin Murphy took to Twitter this evening, saying that the crowd appeared to be getting a bit antsy for Trump’s arrival, as the former guy was once again running late to his own event:

It was then that whoever was in charge of this sort of thing apparently decided it would be a good idea to play the big, famous speech from the 1970 movie “Patton.”

Of course, this speech is infamous for its propaganda tone and it quickly has people wondering what in the hell Trump and his people were getting at here:

I’m genuinely starting to believe that we have officially entered the Twilight Zone™.
