House Trying To Investigate Why Military Plane Stopped At Trump’s Scottish Golf Course Twice, Pentagon Not Cooperating

Impeach him! NOW!

If you weren’t around last night to catch the latest news, Politico was the first to report on a conflict-of-interest probe by the House Committee on Oversight and Reform regarding a rather suspicious stop by a US military plane at Trump’s Scottish Golf Course both en route to and from a routine trip to the Middle East.

“In early Spring of this year, an Air National Guard crew made a routine trip from the U.S. to Kuwait to deliver supplies. What wasn’t routine was where the crew stopped along the way: President Donald Trump’s Turnberry resort, about 50 miles outside Glasgow, Scotland,” Politico’s report read.

Evidently, the House Oversight Committee has been attempting to conduct their congressional duties of an investigation into the matter since April — but much like every other investigation that involves Donald Trump, it’s been to no avail.

According to a senior Democratic aide, their efforts have been met with nothing but stonewalling from Trump’s Pentagon.

“The Defense Department has not produced a single document in this investigation,” the aide revealed. “The committee will be forced to consider alternative steps if the Pentagon does not begin complying voluntarily in the coming days.”

Reports are indicating that the military plane is stopping at Prestwick Airport, which is the closest airport to Donald’s Turnberry golf resort, to refuel — despite the fact that stop is significantly out of the way, and significantly more expensive than refueling at a US military base — ultimately costing the American taxpayers around $11 million and lining the pockets of Donald Trump, considering the once failing resort has seen a $3 million uptick in revenue since 2017.

But folks, Donald himself actually warned us that he was going to do exactly this.

Back in 2014, before he’d even managed to weasel his way into the White House, Trump pledged to make the airport closest to his property “really successful.”

“We are going to make this really successful. You are going to get a lot of business,” Trump said of the airport years ago.

All this boils down to is him finally having a platform (i.e. the “leader” of our nation) from which to do so.

And now he thinks that platform makes him immune to any sort of consequences.
