Scandal-ridden former President Donald Trump has been pelted with a brutal succession of damning losses and legal peril over the course of the last few weeks — including bombshell testimonies in the January 6th case against him by some of his closest and most loyal allies, such as former advisor Stephen Miller.

And it’s only getting worse.

According to breaking new reporting, not one but two of Donald Trump’s own former top White House attorneys have officially delivered their personal, under-oath testimonies to a federal criminal grand jury in the investigation of the events leading up to, during, and surrounding the infamous January 6th attack on the Capitol building, including the corrupt former president’s personal involvement in inciting that deadly violence.

Sources familiar with the overall matter reportedly spoke with ABC News and confirmed that former Trump White House counsel Pat Cipollone and his deputy Pat Philbin were spotted by onlookers at D.C. District Court on Friday.

The testimonies delivered by Cipollone and Philbin come on the heels of a highly secretive court battle with the US Department of Justice on Donald Trump’s part, in which the ex-president desperately tried to muzzle the former White House attorneys and silence their testimonies. The former president’s legal team attempted to argue that the former White House attorneys’ testimonies were covered by executive privilege. Donald Trump lost that court battle. A federal judge ruled against the Trump team’s claims and ordered the two former Trump White House lawyers to appear and testify before the federal grand jury.

Sources who spoke with ABC News further confirmed that both Cipollone and Philbin actually first appeared before the grand jury back in September However, both attorneys refused to answer or engage in certain lines of questioning that they felt were protected, up until such a point that the matter of executive privilege had been resolved.

Reports now indicate that the attorneys appeared before the jury and testified for several hours.

The Justice Department’s original move to subpoena the two attorneys severed as one of the first cold, hard indicators that the DOJ was officially escalating its investigation into the deadly January 6th attack. The grand jury testimonies of Cipollone and Philbin now also signal that the appointment of Special Counsel Jack Smith has not slowed or deterred the department’s investigations in any way — in both the January 6th case as well as the Mar-a-Lago stolen document case.

According to reporting from ABC News, Cipollone and Philbin have also recently sat for interviews with the FBI in connection to the stolen classified document investigation.

ABC notes, “This week, three aides to Trump including his former social media director Dan Scavino, former deputy director of presidential advance William Russell and Beau Harrison appeared before a grand jury investigating Trump’s handling of classified documents found at his Mar-a-Lago estate, according to sources familiar with their appearances.”

Things are officially crashing down all around Donald Trump.
