Late last night, the news broke that both President Donald Trump and his third wife, First Lady Melania Trump after suspected exposure from recently returned White House aide Hope Hicks.

Reports started to break pretty rapidly through the night, with Trump himself announcing the diagnosis on Twitter, writing, “Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!”

This morning, Melania followed with a similar message to the public:

On the surface, the pair seem relatively cool and collected about contracting a potentially deadly virus that they all but pretended like didn’t exist — as does most of their team.

However, some breaking info from an inside reporter reveals that things aren’t actually so level-headed inside the White House.

During a segment on NBC News this morning, network reporter John Santucci told of a far more frantic Trump administration behind the four walls of the People’s House.

“I have heard from so many people prior to him testing, everyone thinking that he has to have it in his inner bubble,” Santucci revealed on the morning show.

Adding, “The amount of sheer panic that is going on within the West Wing, within the President’s campaign cannot be understated.”

Long story short: Trump’s people are apparently freaking out. Their Dear Leader has contracted an illness that he all but tried to pawn off as a “hoax” and the thing has a serious potential to become fatal.

They should be freaking out.
