So-called “Trump Whisperer” Maggie Haberman is out with yet another new scoop on the behind-the-scenes, inner workings of the final days inside the Trump White House, and it’s leaving the former president looking worse than ever.

The scandal-ridden, one-term, twice-impeached former president’s life effectively fell apart over the past week and a half or so, after the Federal Bureau of Investigation executed a search and seizure raid against his Mar-a-Lago compound last Monday, in connection to a warrant that was signed off on by Biden Justice Department head, Attorney General Merrick Garland. In the days since the raid, the official search warrant has revealed that the FBI entered the former president’s Palm Beach estate in search of countless boxes of top-secret, confidential, and federally protected documents and materials that Donald Trump improperly and illegally took with him from the White House to Mar-a-Lago upon the end of his presidency.

The search warrant has also revealed that Donald Trump is now under investigation for possible violations of the Espionage Act in connection to the aforementioned documents found at his country club that he now calls home.

According to law, precedent, and regulations, those boxes of documents and materials were supposed to be boxed up and handed over to the National Archives and Records Administration upon the tumultuous end of Donald Trump’s presidential term. But obviously, that didn’t happen the way that it should have as the now-former president reluctantly vacated the People’s House.

Instead, a new report out from Haberman reveals that inside sources told the New York Times correspondent and CNN analyst that then-Deputy White House Counsel Philbin desperately tried to help arrange the National Archives’ retrieval of those documents — only to be met with a temper tantrum from the outgoing president:

Mr. Philbin tried to help the National Archives retrieve the material, two of the people familiar with the discussions said. But the former president repeatedly resisted entreaties from his advisers.

‘It’s not theirs, it’s mine,’ several advisers say Mr. Trump told them.”

This snippet of disturbing yet unsurprising information is just one piece of a large treasure trove of information that Haberman has recently uncovered regarding the investigation into Donald Trump that ultimately led to the raid on his Mar-a-Lago compound last week. Haberman also discovered that both Philbin and former White House Counsel Pat Cipollone were actually interviewed by the FBI in relation to the top-secret documents that Donald Trump essentially stole.

Haberman’s report offers new light on the fallout of a June meeting, in which Trump’s team of allies, insiders, and staff assured the US Department of Justice that all of the sensitive documents and materials in question had been returned to the National Archives. According to Haberman’s research, this was not true:

At that point, at least one Trump lawyer signed a statement saying material with the classified markings had been returned, according to four people familiar with the document, although it was not clear specifically what the statement attested to. The two lawyers on site for the meeting who worked with Mr. Trump were Mr. Corcoran and Christina Bobb.

But officials then used a subpoena to obtain surveillance footage of the hallway outside a storage room at Mar-a-Lago and saw something that alarmed them. They also received information from at least one witness who indicated that more material might remain at the residence, people familiar with the investigation said.”

At this point, Maggie Haberman is stacking up to be Trump’s worst enemy, as she continues to dig up Donald’s dirtiest secrets and publish them for all the world to see.
