At least he finally told the truth for once.

Georgia Republican Senate candidate and former college football star for the University of Georgia turned NFL player Herschel Walker is notorious these days for the absolutely outlandish, hair-brained, off-the-wall things that come out of his mouth pretty much every single time he opens it. Quite literally, the man has been compared to a stroke victim on multiple occasions now, despite having never suffered from such a medical event in his life, that we’re aware of. And, of course, in addition to his claims almost always being certifiably insane, they’re also almost always heavily lacking in the honesty department.

But lo and behold, as Walker approaches his upcoming debate with his Democratic Senate opponent, it looks like the half-baked, hair-brained Trump sycophant has finally spoken the truth, for at least one time in his life, after he openly admitted that his challenger is almost undoubtedly about to “embarrass” the Hell out of him.

As reported by the Savannah Morning News, Walker is slated to go head to head with his Democratic opponent, Sen. Rev. Raphael Warnock, in a one-on-one debate on October 14th — and it seems Herschel is already going out of his way to ensure that the American public doesn’t expect a whole lot out of him.

Walker, who relocated back to Georgia from Texas for the specific and sole purpose of mounting his Senate campaign, self-deprecatory albeit truthful remarks during his tour of the Port of Savannah last week.

Latrice Williams with the GA publication reported, “The highly anticipated debate is less than a month away, but Walker downplayed himself when asked what he is doing to prepare for the showdown against Warnock. ‘I am getting out talking to people and talking to you (referring to the media),’ said Walker. ‘I’m a country boy. I’m not that smart. He’s a preacher. (Warnock) is smart and wears these nice suits. So, he is going to show up and embarrass me at the debate Oct. 14th, and I’m just waiting to show up and I will do my best.'”

Walker is unsurprisingly one of many highly-controversial and off-the-wall congressional candidates who have been endorsed by scandal-ridden former President Donald Trump. Herschel’s entire Senate campaign has been riddled and marred with scandal and downright confusion over a multitude of his bizarre, outlandish claims — including his open scrutiny and obvious ignorance of evolution when he questioned, “why are there still apes?”; his suggestion in the wake of the Uvalde shooting to combat gun violence with “a department that can look at young men that’s looking at women that’s looking at social media”; and this gem when he criticized climate change policies: “Since we don’t control the air, our good air decided to float over to China’s bad air, so when China gets our good air, their bad air got to move. So it moves over to our good air space.”

Most recently, Walker ignited loads of scrutiny and controversy when he suggested that the inflation that’s currently rocking the world to its core is actually primarily just a women’s issue because “they’ve got to buy groceries.”

Walker has publicly discussed his life-long battle with mental illness and has stood credibly accused of domestic violence, including allegations that he pulled a gun on his ex-wife. When faced with the expected questions regarding his tumultuous and violent history on the campaign trail, Walker brushes off his heinous past, claiming he’s put those things behind him and is “glad” to see his political opponents trying to use his history against him.

Despite all this, the race between Herschel Walker and Senator Warnock for the GA Senate seat is somehow still a tight one, with recent polls showing that Warnock, who won the 2020 runoff election, is leading the FiveThirtyEight average by the skin of his teeth.
