When the entire economy added six million jobs, Donald Trump made the patently false and absurd claim in December that his daughter, Ivanka, created fourteen million jobs. These things are easily disprovable through a simple Google search, but Trump’s base eats his lies up like they are hamberders. “14 million people she’s gotten jobs for,” Trump said at the time. “Her goal when she started it two years ago was 500,000 jobs. She’s done over 14 million, so that’s really something.”
You’d have to be a real fucking asshole to repeat this blatantly dishonest claim, but Ivanka went there on Twitter to claim that she’s created 15 million jobs while retweeting her dear old dad.

Ivanka knows that what she’s saying is a lie.
Even Ivanka herself is parroting this lie that she created 15 million jobs. The board she co-chairs secured a pledge for 15 mil TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES over the next 5 years.

Donald repeated the same ridiculously stupid and mathematically-challenged lie he told in December. Training opportunities are not the same things as actual jobs that pay the bills and whatnot. It could be that because her father never pays his debts, Ivanka is confused over what an actual paying job is. For sure, training is important, but it’s not a paid gig. And as the Washington Post reported last year, “the numbers reflect pledges over a five-year period, not something already achieved.”
Trump has repeatedly said that “the U.S. is experiencing the best economy ever,” but that’s just not true. Former President Barack Obama’s job numbers exceeded Trump’s, not that the current occupant of the White House would ever admit that.
Forbes reports:
…the new results show that President Trump’s best year of job growth was 2.314 million in 2018 (the first year of the tax cut) but it falls short of any of Obama’s last three years. His boasts also don’t stand up when you peel the onion on GDP growth and realize that the Federal deficits during his Presidency will exceed any that were not impacted by a recession.”
Maybe Trump supporters clap and cheer at his blatant lies just to own the libs, but this shit is getting old really fast.
