White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki fired back at Ted Cruz over the Texas Senator suggesting that Republicans will impeach President Joe Biden if Republicans win back control of Congress in 2022. Psaki called on Cruz to focus on “getting something done” instead of “name-calling, accusation-calling, and making predictions of the future.” Psaki treated Cruz like a child since he’s acting like one. We already know that Republicans will try to impeach Biden when they get into power. That is who they are. After all, they didn’t hold former President Donald Trump accountable after he incited the deadly January 6 riot at the Capitol.
“If we take the House, which I said is overwhelmingly likely, then I think we will see serious investigations of the Biden administration,” Cruz said on the newest episode of his podcast.
In terms of Republicans impeaching Biden, “I do think there’s a chance of that,” Cruz said. “Democrats weaponized impeachment. The more you weaponize it and turn it into a partisan cudgel, you know, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.”
Psaki called him out.

“Well, our reaction is maybe Senator Cruz can work with us on getting something done on comprehensive immigration reform and putting in place measures that will help make sure smart security is what we see at the border, taking a more humane approach to the border instead of name-calling, accusation calling, and making predictions of the future,” Psaki said.

Donald J. Trump’s first impeachment came after a formal House inquiry alleged that he had solicited foreign interference in the 2020 U.S. presidential election to help his re-election bid. He then obstructed the investigation by telling his administration officials to ignore its subpoenas for documents and testimony. Sound familiar? People in Trump’s orbit don’t think laws and subpoenas apply to them.
Trump was impeached the second time just one week before his term expired and one week after he incited the insurrection.
In contrast, President Biden is trying to end the coronavirus pandemic by encouraging Americans to get vaccinated. That’s not an impeachable act, Mr. Cruz. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) filed impeachment resolutions just a day after Biden took office last year.
