Unless you live under a rock, you probably read the reports about the 50 foot Christmas tree outside of the Fox News building in Manhattan that was set on fire last week, and a 49-year-old man was taken into custody. The reason you’ve likely heard about it is that the network won’t stop talking about it.
Ainsley Earhardt dramatically consoled the show’s viewers. Another host blamed “left-wing” officials. Fox News host Tucker Carlson called it “an attack on Christianity,” even though the Christmas tree is a pagan symbol. Fox News contributor Rev. Jacques DeGraff appeared to compare the burnt tree to Pearl Harbor.
Republican Party Chair Ronna McDaniel somehow linked President Joe Biden to the tree and suggested that the burned tree will be a “huge problem for Democrats.” And now we have Fox New’s Peter Doocy, who brought up the burned tree to White House press secretary Jen Psaki.
“We’ve seen an arsonist burn down a half-a-million-dollar Christmas tree in New York City, back out on the streets. Does the president think that’s good governing?”
“I think, Peter,” Psaki said, “what our focus is on is making sure that the local leaders, the police officers, and departments who know what they need for these communities have the assistance and the funding they need and that’s what we’re working around the clock on.”

Why would they spend half a million dollars on a Christmas tree that is going to come down in 3 weeks? Talk about messed up priorities.

The Constitution says nothing about the President having to monitor Christmas trees

There needs to be a “Doocy Rule”:
If you ask a string of at least 3 idiotic questions in a row, you get your press pass revoked and have to sit in the corner to think about what you did. https://t.co/1baQEGE8rg

It’s a tree. And it’s not even a real tree. As for it costing $500,000, the network might look into purchasing less expensive trees in the future.
