Jen Psaki Just Schooled A Fox News Reporter On The US Constitution

Yet another mic drop from Jen Psaki.

Joe Biden has been president of the United States for six months now. And in those six months, Jen Psaki has served as his White House Press Secretary, regularly schooling reporters from Fox News to Reuters and everyone in between within the four walls of that White House press briefing room.

Over and over again, Psaki has proven that no one does the job quite like she does, as she continually presents with poise and grace mixed with a take no shit attitude that most people would kill for. A reporter has yet to lob a question at her that she hasn’t completely knocked out of the park and no amount of “gotcha” questions or ridiculous whataboutisms will slow her down.

And, frankly, no one knows this better than Fox News’ Peter Doocy. Yet, he never seems to learn his lesson.

During today’s press briefing, the Fox News White House reporter came back for another tango with Biden’s press secretary, this time regarding the silent protest enacted by American Olympic track and field athlete Gwen Berry — only to end up schooled by Psaki on the way the First Amendment of the US Constitution works.

“This weekend Gwen Barry, who represents the United States as an Olympian on the hammer-throwing events, won a bronze medal at the trials, and then she turned her back on the flag while the anthem played,” Doocy declared before asking, “Does President Biden think that is appropriate behavior for someone who hopes to represent Team USA?”

Psaki offered this in response:

I haven’t spoken to the President specifically about this, but I know he’s incredibly proud to be an American, and has great respect for the anthem, and all that it represents especially for our men and women serving in uniform all around the world. He would also say of course that part of that pride in our country means recognizing there are moments where we are as a country haven’t lived up to our highest ideals, and it means respecting the right of people, granted to them in the constitution to peacefully protest.”

You know better, dude.
