Jen Psaki Serves Up One Of Her Best Comebacks Yet: “We’re Not Taking Advice From Former President Trump”

If there’s anything in this world that President Joe Biden’s press secretary, Jen Psaki, is known for it’s serving up some of the best, wittiest comebacks we’ve witnessed in our lives.

We’ve gone from a MAGA talking head with the personality of a dead goose to a fiery woman who takes absolutely no prisoners yet somehow maintains a level of poise and grace that, frankly, I’m a little jealous of — and Lord knows Kayleigh McEnany is seething with green envy.

Over the course of her time as press secretary, Psaki has gracefully destroyed more than a few Conservative members of the press who tried to pull “gotcha” questions or somehow trick her into praising the previous administration or admitting that President Biden isn’t doing fantastically.

But no one’s ever been able to get her yet, and this time was certainly no exception.

During today’s press briefing, the topic of the border crisis that Vice President Kamala Harris has been appointed to deal with unsurprisingly came up. And while we can’t explain why VP Harris hasn’t yet made a trip down south to address the issue, we can promise you that Psaki wasn’t about to allow her to be run over by the press for the way she’s handling things.

After being questioned on the topic, Psaki responded:

Well, first, as I said to Peter: At some point, she may go to the border. I don’t have any trips to preview for you or predict or a timeline for that.

I will say, we’re not taking advice from former President Trump or most of the Republicans who are criticizing us on this, given they were all sitting there while we created this problem we walked into, both at the border and with the movement of migration that has been growing over the last year.”

At this point, frankly, they should have known better.
