Jen Psaki Showed Us Her Best Smack Down Yet By Shutting Down Fox News Reporter When He Asked About Cuomo Scandal

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy seems to enjoy getting shut down in a humiliating fashion by White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki since that seems to happen regularly. This time, though, Psaki took a shot at former President Donald Trump while responding to Doocy.

Doocy asked Psaki about the news regarding the damming sexual harassment allegations against Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) that exploded in the news. Now, I’m not sure what the Biden administration has to do with Cuomo’s scandal, but Doocy seemed to inject the current administration into his question. In March, President Joe Biden said Cuomo should resign if the AG investigation confirmed sexual assault claims, so he’s made his position clear.

“Does the administration want the Justice Department to initiate a civil rights investigation into these harassment allegations revealed today?” Doocy asked.

Psaki shot Doocy down within seconds, saying, “We do something new here that feels foreign from the last four years and allow the Justice Department to act independently on investigations.”

During Trump’s one term in office, the former president pressured the Department of Justice on multiple occasions. The Attorney General, Bill Barr, appeared to be the now-twice impeached one-term president’s lapdog. And when someone doesn’t bend to Trump’s demands, they’re usually fired, humiliated, and targeted by his base.

As for President Biden, he said on Tuesday that he would address questions about Cuomo later this afternoon following the report from the New York attorney general’s office that alleged Cuomo sexually harassed 11 women in violation of state and federal laws. Again, Biden did say in March that Cuomo should step down if the investigation confirmed that the allegations are true. This is a no-brainer, really, but not if you’re Peter Doocy, apparently. And really, if Doocy didn’t want to be curb-stomped by Psaki, he would come up with better questions. The Department of Justice isn’t Biden’s new toy. That occurred with the previous administration, not this one.
