Since the moment she started her job in the Biden administration, Press Secretary Jen Psaki has made it damn clear that she won’t be taking any crap off of reporters. A lot of Conservatives have accused her of “having it out for” their side when it comes to the White House Press Corp. journalists who sit in on her briefings. But, the fact of the matter is, Psaki doesn’t “have it out” for anyone, nor does she play favorites with media outlets people consider to be Left.

Jen just does her job, and she does it well — meaning she will honestly and respectfully answer legitimate questions from any reporter, no matter their perceived political affiliation, and put any reporter in their place if they’re attempting “gotcha” questions or asking something ridiculous, again, no matter their perceived political affiliation.

Psaki made as much clear during a press briefing recently, when she put one Reuters reporter back in their place for wasting her time with a question that was anything but legitimate.

Reuters Correspondent Nandita Bose posed this to the White House Press Secretary:

We’ve been kind of talking to a lot of voting rights and civil rights activists who are saying that the President isn’t just simply doing enough on the issue and is betraying Black voters who actually helped him — get him — get into the office by not doing absolutely everything he can. And he’s instead spending his time negotiating infrastructure with Republicans. How would you respond to that criticism?”

“Who was saying that?” Psaki immediately pressed.

Bose claimed, “A lot of civil rights activists and voting activists,” but Jen wasn’t having that, doubling-down and asking, “Like who?”

Seeming a bit flustered by the Press Secretary’s response, Bose answered, “We’ve spoken to several groups and outfits. I mean, I can reach out to you with names after the briefing. And —”

And with that, Psaki shut her water off, saying, “Sure. That sounds good,” and immediately moving onto the next question.

The moral of this story here, folks, is if you’re going to go up against Jen Psaki, you better know your stuff. Because she has zero time for your whataboutisms.
