With less than two weeks in the White House as the First Lady under her belt, Dr. Jill Biden is already proving in leaps and bounds just how much more decent and kind she is than her predecessor ever was or will be.

Within just her first few days, she was already delivering fresh cookies from the White House kitchen to the National Guard members posted outside of the White House to help protect them on the heels of the violent insurrection against our nation’s Capital just a couple of weeks before, at the hands of Donald Trump’s rabid supporters. And now, she’s reaching out to her close friend Michelle, who once stood just exactly where she does now, with a gift that will warm the ice of the Trump administration right off your heart.

Today, former First Lady Michelle Obama posted a photo of a beautiful gift basket full of delicious-looking fresh vegetables that came from the White House garden as a “care package” from her friend and First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden.

“So thankful for this beautiful care package from our amazing @FLOTUS! These fresh veggies from the White House Kitchen Garden were such a wonderful — and delicious — surprise. Love you, Jill!,” Michelle captioned the image of the lovely basket stuffed full of fresh vegetables from the White House garden.

The White House Kitchen Garden was planted by Michelle herself back in 2009 on the White House South Lawn as part of her initiative to start a national conversation about the health and wellbeing of our country.

“I take great pride in knowing that this little garden will live on as a symbol of the hopes that we all hold of growing a healthier nation for our children — aspirations that have their rightful place here, in this beautiful spot outside of our nation’s home,” Michelle said during the dedication ceremony of the garden in 2016. “I take pride in knowing that this garden will serve as a reminder of what we all started, but also what we all have left to do. And as we dedicate this garden here today, I am hopeful that future First Families will cherish this garden like we have, and that it will become one of our enduring White House traditions”

Frankly, the breath of air we get from First Lady Dr. Jill Biden is as fresh as the vegetables in that basket.
