Jim Jordan Tried To Discredit Vindman’s Reputation, Witness Responds By Reading Glowing Performance Review

Vindman came armed with receipts.

Even since the impeachment hearings against Donald Trump have gone public, due to the demands of the Republicans themselves, GOP members have been floundering in the spotlight, grasping at straws to defend a “president” whose guilt is becoming more and more clear with each and every witness testimony.

As a result, Republican members of the House Intelligence Committee have found themselves stooping to some increasingly hairbrained conspiracy theories and unprecedentedly low tactics against the witnesses that can only truly be described as bullying, plain and simple.

But then again, the entire nation witnessed their “leader” Trump implemented the exact same behavior against Marie Yovanovitch during her testimony last week. So it’s truly no surprise that they think they can get away with it.

However, while House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff has certainly made it clear that certain intimidation tactics will not be tolerated, it seems as though the witnesses themselves are leaving no doubt that they won’t be tolerant of such strategies from the GOP members either.

During Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman’s testimony today, Republican Rep. and rapist sympathizer Jim Jordan took his turn at questioning the witness. And, much like his fellow GOP members, instead of actually asking legitimate questions pertaining to the investigation, Jordan attempted to launch into a smear attack against the witness’s character. And frankly, it didn’t turn out well for him. At all.

In the course of questioning Vindman, Jordan attempted to question the witness’s loyalty to his country by quoting testimony from another impeachment inquiry witness, Tim Morrison, who claimed he “had concerns about Lt. Col. Vindman’s judgment.” Jordan then went on to allege that former National Security Council staffer Fiona Hill shared those concerns.

The Republican Rep. then proceeded to ask Vindman why his colleagues would question his judgment in such a way — to which the Lt. Col. responded by reading a positively glowing final performance review of his work by none other than former National Security Council staffer Fiona Hill, herself.

“‘Alex is a top one percent military officer and the best army officer I have worked with in my 15 years of government service,'” Vindman stated, reading directly from the performance review completed by Hill. “‘He is brilliant, unflappable, and exercises excellent judgment.’… I think you get the idea.”

Someone should really tell these Republicans… If they’re going to demand these hearings, they should at least prepare for them with all the facts. Because at this point, they’re just continually confirming their stupidity and the fact that they don’t have a single foot to stand on to defend Donald Trump.
