Former “star” of TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting Josh Duggar was officially convicted this morning on charges of possessing and receiving child pornography, after a 6-day trial before a jury of his peers. Duggar was immediately taken into custody by law enforcement officials at the courthouse, directly following the guilty verdict, only having just enough time to tell his wife Anna that he “loved” her before being taken away in handcuffs.
As the judge delivered their ruling against Duggar, the former reality TV star was described as “teary-eyed” and “solemn,” per reports from InTouch Weekly. However, it seems Josh’s forlorn mood was short-lived, as a new report from People shows Duggar’s new mugshot directly following his conviction, and the shit-eating grin plastered across his face is enough to turn the strongest of stomachs.
In his now second mugshot, the eldest 10 Kids and Counting spawn is seen with a rather large smile on his face, much like his first mugshot when he was arrested for the crimes the first time back in April of this year.
People does note in their report that Duggar’s demeanor was far less chipper in the courtroom, writing that Josh “grew visibly distraught” during his brief conversation with Anna as U.S. marshals took him into custody, his “eyes tightening and face crumpling, though his mouth was covered with a mask.”

Duggar was arrested in April in connection to a Homeland Security raid of the used car lot where he worked, where officials discovered a computer belonging to Josh that possessed and had received heinous videos and images of child sex abuse.
Of course, this is far from the eldest Duggar child’s first scandal of a sexual nature. Back in 2015, news broke that Josh had molested five underage girls between 2002 and 2003 when he was 14 and 15 years old. Four of the five victims were Josh’s own sisters, the other a babysitter. One victim was so young at the time of the molestation that, as told by the Duggars, she “didn’t understand she had been improperly touched.”
Later in 2015, Josh was embroiled in the Ashley Madison hack, which exposed the account he had previously maintained on the website designed to help men cheat on their wives. Duggar admitted to having the account, as well as having a pornography addiction and being unfaithful to his wife Anna. He proceeded to check himself into a rehabilitation center for his pornography addiction.
It was the same year that pornography actress Danica Dillon filed a lawsuit against Josh Duggar, claiming that he had “assaulted her to the point of causing her physical and emotional injuries” during consensual sex. Dillion later dropped the lawsuit after evidence showed that Duggar was not in Philadelphia, where Dillon claimed the event took place, at the time of the alleged assault.
The judge in Duggar’s case noted that sentencing for the former reality TV alum would come in about 4 months. Once sentenced, Duggar will face up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine per charge.
His attorney has already asserted that they will be appealing the verdict as soon as possible.
