Judge Handed Down Ruling For MAGA Rioting “Oath Keeper,” Said That He Can Use The Internet, But His Wife Has To Monitor Him

How embarrassing.

The Oath Keepers, an American far-right anti-government militia, are being hammered by the law over their part in the deadly January 6 insurrection. In the case of the Oath Keeper member Thomas Caldwell, though, it got a little embarrassing for him, NBC4 Washington’s Scott MacFarlane reported on Twitter. The judge decided that Caldwell could use the internet, but only if his wife monitors him to make sure he’s being a good boy.

“Mr. Caldwell is hereby permitted to use an internet-connected device solely to communicate with counsel, to review discovery, or to conduct legal research,” the order reads. “He is not granted permission to indiscriminately surf the internet for evidence relating to the events of January 6. Mr. Caldwell’s wife shall monitor any access to any internet-connected device to ensure compliance with this term of release.”

The group of extremists isn’t faring well in court lately. On Monday, CNN reports that a federal judge ruled against a notable attempt to throw out the felony charge that’s the backbone of January 6 criminal prosecutions. The outlet notes that this bolsters the government’s case against 17 Oath Keeper defendants accused of conspiring to overtake the US Capitol.

Earlier today, we reported on Gary Edwards from Churchville, Pennsylvania, who was present at the Capitol attack, and he was outed due to a social media post from his wife. And because of Mrs. Edwards Facebook post, he was sentenced to a year of probation, as well as ordered to pay a $2,500 fine and $500 in restitution in connection to his role in the Capitol insurrection.

As for Mr. Caldwell, you’d better do as your wife says. This humors me for some reason. How does a 66-year-old man throw his life away for a girdled septuagenarian who wears heels to appear taller? I’ll never understand that.
