The White House Coronavirus Task Force was supposedly meant to coordinate and oversee “the administration’s efforts to monitor, prevent, contain, and mitigate the spread” of the disease, with vice president Mike Pence chairing the group. Of course, like Donald Trump, Pence has done nothing to prevent or contain the spread of the disease. Instead, super-spreader events were held to largely maskless crowds with the president mocking social distancing guidelines. Pence, too, refuses to wear a protective face mask consistently.
And now, Pence’s wife, aptly named Karen, has invited Congressional Club members to an afternoon “Christmas Craft” at the vice president’s residence on Dec. 9 at 1:00 p.m., according to Politico.
The invite makes no mention of masks. The event comes as the CDC has discouraged holiday gatherings. Her husband, VP MIKE PENCE, is head of the White House’s coronavirus task force, which has said indoor gatherings should be limited
And this administration thinks it deserves another four years in office amid the pandemic that’s taken over two hundred and fifty thousand American lives.

This is just depressing — and dangerous. Perhaps Karen Pence didn’t hear the news that Donald Trump Jr. contracted COVID-19 and is in isolation. Well, at least Junior finally passed a test. It’s almost impossible to keep track of how many people in Trump’s orbit have contracted the coronavirus. However, CBS News White House correspondent Weijia Jiang reports that there have been four outbreaks of the virus at the White House.

To most of us, throwing or attending a party amid the pandemic seems horrifying. It’s almost as if these alleged humans are celebrating the disease that has kept Americans isolating at home while Republicans snub their noses at the rest of us. Members of the Trump administration have failed even to feign to lead by example. Food banks are being hammered, with Americans finding themselves out of work after this administration surrendered to the coronavirus without putting up a fight. This is a disgrace. And the Pences call themselves “pro-life.”
