Donald Trump’s appallingly slow response to the coronavirus pandemic has cost a lot of lives. On Wednesday, it was reported that over twenty-six thousand Americans have died from COVID-19. Trump has tried to blame anyone and everything for his failure to spring into action when he first learned of a looming pandemic months ago. So, the blame game has become a feature with the “I take no responsibility” president.

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway railed against the World Health Organization on Wednesday, just after Donald Trump said he was halting funding to the group. Kellyanne, though, made it clear in her appearance on Fox & Friends that she doesn’t know that the 19 in COVID-19 refers to the year 2019.

“This is COVID-19, not COVID-1 folks, and so you would think the people in charge of the World Health Organization, facts and figures, would be on top of that,” she said.

An explainer:

This is some pretty elementary stuff, you guys. Trump’s team is panicking after the economy was put on life support. Sure, it was easy peasy for Trump to ride on former President Barack Obama’s economic coattails for a while, but then shit got real, and the former reality show star has to do some actual work for a change to create jobs. Work is something Trump is unfamiliar with, though, so it’s going to be a bumpy ride for all of us.

But, thanks for dropping a can of stupid on us, Kellyanne.
