Kobe Bryant’s Old Tweet About Trump Re-Emerges, Hits The Nail On The Head Regarding POTUS

This rings even truer today.

On the heels of the tragic and untimely death of Lakers basketball star Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant, and 7 other passengers in a heartbreaking helicopter crash, hundreds of notable figures from across the United States and around the world have taken to the various social media platforms to express their heartbreak, shock, and condolences to the Bryant family, friends, and fans.

Former United States President Barack Obama expressed his heartfelt, deepest sympathies to the family on Twitter on behalf of himself and his wife Michelle, while Trump took to his beloved platform calling the accident “terrible news” and peddling misinformation regarding the number of lives lost in the crash before returning to tweet out his obligatory condolences on behalf of himself and Melania some three-plus hours later — ultimately declaring that “despite being one of the truly great basketball players of all time, [Kobe] was just getting started in life.”

Honestly, it was little more than the same cookie-cutter response that Trump pushes out, almost undoubtedly dictated by some underpaid, overworked aide, any time tragedy strikes in this nation.

But as it turns out, like many others that Trump decides to be kind to only after their deaths, Kobe Bryant wasn’t fond of Donald Trump.

In a resurfaced tweet from the basketball mogul, hailing back to September of 2017, shortly after Donald Trump took the presidency and started to burn this nation to the ground, Bryant expressed his heartfelt disdain for the new “leader” of this country. And quite frankly, Kobe hit the nail on the head when it comes to describing our commander-in-chief.

A #POTUS whose name alone creates division and anger. Whose words inspire dissension and hatred can’t possibly ‘Make America Great Again’,” Bryant’s short but powerful tweet read.

It serves as a reminder that despite Donald’s half-hearted attempt at compassion in the wake of the sports star’s untimely death, Trump has never been and will never be a good person. He is detrimental to the safety, happiness, and overall well-being of this nation.

Kobe knew that fact then and it’s still just as relevant today. And frankly, it’s only a matter of time before Trump is disparaging the man in his grave because he dared to criticize him.
