Latest Poll From Military Times Spells Bad News For Trump, More Troops Planning To Vote For Biden

Is Trump going to lash out at our troops now?

While the gaslighter-in-chief insists that Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s poll numbers are plunging, the opposite is true. Every legitimate pollster shows Biden in the lead, and now, the Military Times has some bad news for the president. And we’re not talking about veterans, but active military troops are riden’ with Biden now, and that’s a bad sign for Donald J. Trump.

The president’s transfer last year of $2.5 billion in military funds to pay for wall construction on the southern border was deemed an illegal overreach of executive authority, a three-judge panel in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit ruled in late June.  And we’re not sure if that plays into the troops’ decision to vote for Biden. Still, clearly, Trump’s decision to hurt military families to build his ego-wall is an indication that everything is about him — with no regard for the military.

The Military Times reports on their latest poll that shows a continued decline in active-duty service members’ views of the President and “a slight but significant preference for former Vice President Joe Biden in the upcoming November election among troops surveyed.” And those results were before the political conventions in which Trump did not see a bump in poll numbers.

But the Military Times Polls, surveying active-duty troops in partnership with the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) at Syracuse University, have seen a steady drop in troops’ opinion of the commander in chief since his election four years ago.

In the latest results — based on 1,018 active-duty troops surveyed in late July and early August — nearly half of respondents (49.9 percent) had an unfavorable view of the president, compared to about 38 percent who had a favorable view. Questions in the poll had a margin of error of up to 2 percent.

Forty-two percent said they “strongly” disapprove of Trump’s time in office. And Trump’s favorable number slipped down from last year’s poll.

In a poll conducted at the start of Trump’s presidency, 46 percent of troops had a favorable view of him, versus 37 percent who had an unfavorable opinion.

That’s pretty significant since he’s the sitting Republican president. And the decline in poll numbers with our troops has been on a steady decline, so it’s likely it will continue. The Commander-in-Chief wants our troops to sacrifice for him while they’re sacrificing everything for our country.
