Lauren Boebert Has The Audacity To Compare Uvalde Massacre To 9/11 When Responding To Calls For Sensible Gun Laws: “When 9/11 Happened, We Didn’t Ban Planes”

She just keeps getting worse and worse.

Colorado Republican House Rep. Lauren Boebert just officially hit the bottom of the damn barrel, folks.

As we’re all painfully aware of at this point, the Republicans have been out in droves this week to defend their “God-given” gun rights after 18-year-old high school dropout turned gunman, Salvador Ramos, entered Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, barricaded himself in a 4t-grade classroom, and proceeded to mass murder 19 innocent children and 2 beautiful teachers.

In the seconds, hours, and days since the tragedy, we’ve seen just about all of the Republican regulars coming out of the woodwork with their useless thoughts and prayers and Bible verses, to blame the mass school shooting on things like mental health, rap music, and videos games — pretty much any and everything other than the guns that Salvador Ramos used to slaughter a 4th-grade class. Anything but the guns.

In short, they want the American people to know and clearly understand that, at the end of the day, their 2nd Amendment rights are worth more to them than your children’s lives.

As such, the controversial Colorado House Rep. recently made an appearance on Sean Hannity’s Fox News segment to give her reaction to the recently reignited calls for gun control and reformed gun laws in this country after 19 kids and 2 teachers didn’t go home Tuesday night.

Guest-host Tammy Bruce asked Boebert for her reaction to the recent calls for action around the nation.

“People want to know where the Republicans are at, where you’re at, when it comes to what the next step can be taken for some real change here,” Bruce stated.

Lauren offered up some empty platitudes and condolences before she quickly labeled gun-free zones as “dangerous,” opining that “we cannot legislate evil” away.

“I want our schools secured,” Boebert went on to add. “I want their children protected, and I want teachers that can protect themselves and their students. And you know what? We can achieve this without trying to disarm law-abiding citizens. For me, this is my equalizer. I need a way to protect myself and my children. And my firearm is my equalizer, my tool to do that.”

She then accused Democrats of exploiting the tragedy, labeling their actions “shameful.”

Boebert took aim at the likes of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer for daring to oppose a school safety bill that was proposed by Republicans, New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for busting her ass out on Twitter, and Texas Democratic gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke for crashing an Abbott press conference and calling the incumbent GOP TX governor out for “doing nothing” to staunch the bleeding of gun violence in this country.

And then she came in with this gem.

“When 9/11 happened, we didn’t ban planes,” she concluded her rant. “We secured the cockpit.”

It’s clear at this point that Boebert’s only personality trait is packing heat. Apparently empathy for dead children is abosolutely nowhere to be found.
