Did he really think that was going to go over well?

President Joe Biden delivered a heartfelt, fiery speech today in somber recognition of the first anniversary of the infamous, deadly Capitol insurrection, perpetrated by ex-President Donald Trump’s very own supporters, in a last-ditch pathetic effort to halt President Biden’s triumph over the now-former guy.

“Here is the God’s truth about Jan. 6, 2021. Close your eyes, go back to that day, what do you see? Confederate flag that symbolizes the cause to destroy America, to rip us apart. Even during the Civil War that never, ever happened, but it happened here, in 2021,” President Biden said from the Capitol building the morning, before going on to add, “We didn’t see a former president, who had just rallied the mob to attack, sitting in a private dining room off the oval office in the White House, watching it all on television and doing nothing for hours as police were assaulted, lives at risk. The nation’s Capitol under siege.”

Apparently, this got Lindsey Graham’s knickers in a twist, prompting him to take to Twitter with a nasty attack against the President.

“What brazen politicization of January 6 by President Biden,” the South Carolina senator fumed on social media. “I wonder if the Taliban who now rule Afghanistan with al-Qaeda elements present, contrary to President Biden’s beliefs, are allowing this speech to be carried?”

As you’d expect, no one took well to Graham’s nasty tweet.

Blue check Twitter was quick to pile on the Trump sycophantic senator:

Average, everyday Americans were equally disgusted with Graham, and they were sure to let him know it:

Enjoy what’s left of your career, Graham. You’re ruining it right before our eyes.
