Maine GOP Senator Susan Collins has found herself filling up the front pages lately over her wishy-washy approach to Donald Trump, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, and this entire impeachment process as a whole.
Hell, even world-renowned author and Maine native Stephen King has weighed in on Twitter with his thoughts on the senator from his home state.
Now that the election season is quickly approaching, not only for Trump himself but for many of his Republican jockeys currently in office as well, MSNBC took the opportunity to head to the northernmost US state and gauge how the voters there really and truly feel about Collins.
As it turns out, the namby-pamby senator isn’t well-received by folks on either side of the fence.

In the interviews conducted by the media network, both MAGA supporters and detractors expressed their distaste with Collins’ indecisiveness regarding whether or not the Senate should call additional witnesses in Trump’s impeachment trial.
“She will lose my vote when she runs again,” Stevie ColburnSusan, a pro-Trump-impeachment voter in Maine told MSNBC during the interview, before going on to explain that she was still holding out hope that the senator would ultimately decide to call witnesses and subpoena further documents in connection with the impeachment trial.
But Mainers who want to see Trump finally kicked out of office for his multitude of transgressions aren’t the only ones who have found themselves with beef regarding Susan Collins.
“I’d like to see her be more on the team and support this guy,” Rob Hopkins, a Maine Trump supporter told MSNBC in the interview. “I think Susan tries to play both sides and appease everybody too much.”
“She’s following her typical course of wavering all the time,” Sue Hopkins, another Republican voter lamented. “As far as her playing both sides, I find that… I don’t like it. Let’s put it that way. And would I stand by her? No.”
It seems that Susan Collins has screwed herself over from every direction possible. No one likes her ass anymore.
