Controversial Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) took to Twitter to call Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) a “Karen” over the Wyoming Republican’s criticism of Tucker Carlson’s upcoming special on the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection. The Fox News host decided to rewrite history. To Carlson, the Trump supporters that stormed the Capitol to stop the peaceful transition of power are the actual victims, and the Democrats the mob wanted to hunt down are the villains. The clip that Carlson tweeted out is littered with bald-faced lies and calls the attack on the Capitol a “false flag.”

Cheney called out Fox News, Rupert Murdoch, and Carlson in a tweet. Greene, who is the most Karen of all the Karens in the history of Karens, called Cheney a “Karen” in an attempt to appear edgy.

Late-night host Trevor Noah once dubbed Greene “Osama bin Karen,” so the irony of the Jewish Space Lasers conspiracy theorist’s tweet wasn’t lost on Twitter users.

Carlson’s reinvention of what happened on Jan. 6 is not only dangerous, but it’s highly divisive, too. That’s how Carlson takes home a generous paycheck. It’s also a perfect example of conservatives once again putting party over country. Liz Cheney’s politics suck, but she’s got brass ovaries, and she’s not going to ignore the literal attack on our democracy that took place on Jan. 6.
