Mark Meadows Reveals Why He Felt He Had No Choice But To Work In Trump White House, And It’s Even Crazier Than We Expected

Well.... That's WEIRD.

Donald Trump’s former Chief of Staff has revealed why he felt he was left with no choice but to work in the now-ex-president’s White House and the gist of it is — God made him do it.

I’m serious.

Mark Meadows has found himself in the spotlight of the news cycle recently, thanks to his new book that covers his tenure in the Trump White House that, according to Meadows and his people, is supposed to be in full support of the ex-president. But, frankly, it’s seemed to cause Donald more harm than good — such as Meadows’ revelation that Trump had already tested positive for COVID-19 prior to his first debate with Joe Biden, though Meadows does try to claim that it was a false negative.

And now, his book has revealed that he worked for Donald Trump because he felt like “God had cornered” him.

Meadows’ revelation in his new book, regarding his time in the Trump White House, is similar to the sentiment he shared during a 2017 interview with Christian Broadcast Network, where he claimed that he never actually wanted to be a member of Congress, and only ended up down the political path thanks to a calling from Chritianity’s higher power.

In his book. Meadows claims that his time served under Donald Trump was a result of a similar intervention from the divine.

“The president of the United States was asking me to serve my country, and the answer was going to have to be yes. As my wife would put it later, God had cornered me,” Meadows writes in his book.

Meadows’ wife’s brother-in-law has slammed Mark as “nuts” for going to work under the reign of Donald Trump, but his wife Debbie has continually maintained that their lives aren’t under their own control, but rather that of God himself. (Who knew they were that special, huh?) Mark and Debbie’s statements regarding their supposed lack of control in their own lives seem to hail from something called the Divine Command Theory — a notion that an individual has zero say in their lives and that God is actually in control of any and all actions, behaviors, and incidents that take place.

“We didn’t have any choice,” Debbie Meadows stated. “God cornered us.”

Of course, Mark’s supposed devotion to God is laced in hypocrisy and sin, as the former Trump Chief of Staff has spent most of his political career enveloped in numerous scandals — including being caught lying about his level of education, a sexual harassment suit by his own Chief of Staff in his congressional office, and $60,000 in unaccounted for campaign expenses that were made after Meadows announced that he wouldn’t be seeking reelection.
