Mary Trump Explained Who “The Stupidest One” Is Among The Former President’s Children And It Makes Perfect Sense

This makes SO much sense.

Recently, Donald Trump’s niece, Mary Trump, sat down for a chat with John Aravosis and Cliff Schecter to promote her upcoming new book — an opus that takes a deep dive into the collective trauma and suffering the people of this nation have been subjected to at the hands of her uncle and his presidential administration.

Early on in the conversation, Trump’s niece sets the stage for why the Trump family is the way it is with an explanation behind some of the family dynamics and the way Donald made many of the same mistakes his father Fred did.

Apparently, Fred Trump’s eldest child and namesake, Freddy Trump, was set to inherit the family business, take it over, and built it into something even bigger and better than before. However, Freddy ultimately wasn’t the golden child Fred Trump was hoping for — unimpressed with the family business and deciding to instead pursue his love of flying. This is what ultimately led to Donald becoming the Trump family heir that inherited all that Fred had to give.

Mary goes on to explain that Donald ultimately skipped completely over his own eldest son and namesake, who would typically be the “heir,” and instead pegged his daughter Ivanka as the most important of his children when it came to his business dealings. Mary believes that this decision was, in large part, due to don Jr.’s resounding lack of intelligence.

“Just in terms of the situation into which he was born, he shares that with my dad,” she stated. “You know, the oldest son of a ‘powerful person’ — well, I think Donald is the weakest person on the planet but he’s been propped up so much. So, clearly, though he certainly did not deserve it, he had a lot of influence, had a lot of money, which was my grandfather’s money, so I think Donnie was born with the same expectation that my father was born with, which was, you’re the oldest son. You carry the name … and you must follow in the footsteps and surpass what your father has accomplished, and you have to do it exactly according to his preferences.”

Mary went on to explain that her own father, Freddy, found it extremely difficult to live up to his father’s expectations of him.

“Donnie is weak in a different way,” Trump’s niece explained. “He had no intention of striking out on his own. He had no intention of doing anything but sucking up and toeing the line, and the problem is — one of the problems is — and who knows how this happens — but kind of the same problem that happened to him happened to my dad. My grandfather, for whatever reason, didn’t like my father and saw something in his sibling Donald, and the only thing that’s weird is that Donald did the same thing but with Ivanka.”

She notes here that her grandfather never would have dreamed of naming one of his daughters his heir for his businesses.

“But Donald had this thing for Ivanka really early on and Donnie was left in the dust,” Mary said, “and yet, he still tries, doesn’t he? I think he’s like many people in my family. He has no core. He has no ideology.”

“He’ll behave to get whatever love keeps coming in,” Mary explained of Don Jr. “For Donnie, it’s more of a way to get his father’s attention, which he never will. And Donnie is a deeply unintelligent person. I’ve been asked this — who’s the stupidest one and it’s him.”
