It’s no secret that Ivanka Trump is considering challenging Florida Senator Marco Rubio. Her brother Donald Trump Jr. has suggested that he might challenge a Republican who voted for impeaching his father. But then, on January 6th, a violent mob of Trump supporters seized the U.S. Capitol, and it was deadly. Some of them even rubbed their feces along the walls while others urinated on the floor. The godawful footage of the outgoing president at that time encouraging his supporters to march to the Capitol will forever be ingrained in our minds. No one will ever forget January 6, 2021. Indeed, future historians won’t.
Mary Trump, the former president’s niece, agreed, saying that “the insurrection was a bridge too far” for her cousins to succeed in politics, the Huffington Post reports. And Don Jr. also pushed the Big Lie of widespread voter fraud that didn’t exist — and that led to the deadly insurrection. And there has been speculation of both Junior and Ivanka eyeing a White House bid in the future.
Mary Trump told Sirius XM Radio host Dean Obeidallah that she doubts that her cousins, Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr., will be able to rehabilitate their images politically following their father’s unseemly exit from the White House.
“I think it’s over,” Donald Trump’s niece said Tuesday of any possibility of her relatives following her uncle into the White House.

“I think it’s completely over, and they have their father to thank for that,” she said.
She went on to say that Donald Trump Jr. was “for sure totally implicated” in inciting the deadly Capitol insurrection on Jan. 6. The former president’s oldest son helped to rile up the MAGA crowd at a pro-Trump rally before the mob marched down Pennsylvania Avenue and stormed the Capitol.
“If there’s any justice, he will be indicted at some point as well,” Mary Trump said of Don Jr.
As for the impeachment trial in the Senate, Mary Trump tweeted, “This vote is very hard to take, especially since there are actual seditionists being allowed to participate in it.” She wasn’t wrong. Republicans let Trump off the hook again. Mary Trump’s book was a warning. She knew what her narcissistic uncle was capable of.
