If you have always wanted to see Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) get righteously smacked down on video, here’s your chance — because Democratic strategist Chris Hahn tore President Donald Trump’s lackey a new one on Fox News.

Last month, Gaetz infamously wore a gas mask to Congress in order to mock and downplay the coronavirus pandemic, which has since killed over 16,000 Americans. Even Gaetz had to quarantine himself because he had been exposed to the virus at Mar-a-Lago.

During an appearance on Fox News, host Laura Ingraham asked Hahn about Wisconsin Republicans forcing people to vote on primary day instead of letting Governor Tony Evers (D) postpone it to prevent voters from exposing themselves and others to the deadly virus.

Ingraham assumed Hahn would oppose a Republican governor doing the same thing. She was wrong.

“Mike DeWine, the Republican governor of Ohio, did exactly that, and he was right to do it,” Hahn said. “But the Republicans wanted as few people as possible in that election so they could win.”

Indeed, fear of contracting the virus likely kept many voters at home, and Republicans don’t do well when more people participate in elections.

Of course, Gaetz objected.

“No, that’s what James Carville was doing when he was saying the people are going to die if they show up and vote. That was voter suppression coming directly from him — it wasn’t Republicans saying, ‘Don’t vote.’ It was one of your people,” he said.

To be clear, Carville cares about saving lives while Republicans demanded people risk their lives to cast ballots in the midst of a pandemic in which social distancing and staying at home are the recommended courses of action by health officials.

Hahn responded by giving Gaetz an epic beat-down.

“Buddy, you shouldn’t be talking about people dying, because people in your district saw you making fun of this and took this less seriously,” he quipped. “You should be resigning from Congress, sir.”

Florida has 17,000 cases of coronavirus and nearly 400 have died there from it.

“You don’t have the intellectual ability to have an actual debate,” Gaetz pathetically shot back before Ingraham cut them off and ended the segment.

Here’s the video via Twitter:

It’s a good thing Gaetz had Ingraham there to protect him because Hahn had no problem burning the Florida Republican for his stupidity and arrogance.
