Since the very first days of this deadly global pandemic the United States government, under the direction of Donald Trump, has made a mockery out of the country they were sworn to serve and protect.
While virtually every other civilized nation responded promptly and efficiently to the outbreak with widespread lockdowns, mask and social distancing mandates, and financial assistance for their citizens to help them survive through this difficult and uncertain time, the United States was pretty much thrown to the coronavirus wolves.
Lockdowns were essentially left up to the states, with absolutely no consistency, as well as social distancing and mask mandates, and the Republicans in Congress have fought took and nail to avoid sending a single red cent more than they absolutely have to to the American public.
But, above all else, this current administration has been downright disrespectful to the American people — the very same people that have allowed this country to continue to function quite literally at the risk of their own lives.

And Donald Trump’s current press secretary is a perfect example of such.
During a one on one with Fox News, Kayleigh McEnany was questioned about teachers who are scared and worried about returning to school while the deadly virus is still so wildly unchecked in this country.
McEnany responded by comparing this country’s teachers to… Meat packers.
“We believe teachers are essential workers,” Kayleigh responded. “Our meat packers didn’t stop working during this pandemic… nor should our teachers.”

Essential workers of all shapes and sizes are the literal backbone of this country. Especially now. They deserve compassion and understanding and damn sure did not earn or deserve the disrespect that’s continually being dished out to them by this administration.
