Despite her husband’s embarrassing loss in the 2020 presidential election, it seems that outgoing First Lady Melania Trump is pretty desperate to stay relevant in these last weeks of her time in the spotlight. And considering her husband is literally behaving like a petulant toddler who’s long overdue a nap, I’m thinking she knows that her Be Best anti-bullying campaign ain’t where it’s at right now.
So, it appears as though the third wife has turned to art to appease her desire for attention and validation.
Taking to Twitter today (Which, she should know by now, has never really been a good idea), Melania proudly announced the unveiling of a new art piece on the White House grounds, very clearly patting herself on the back because it was commissioned by an Asian-American artist, being the first of its kind at the People’s House.
“We unveiled Isamu Noguchi’s Floor Frame sculpture in the Rose Garden @WhiteHouse yesterday. The art piece is humble in scale, complements the authority of the Oval Office, & represents the important contributions of Asian American artists,” Melania’s tweet read, captioning various images of the artwork, the unveiling, and a random one of just herself.

However, as is customary with these sorts of things, social media just was not impressed. At all:
“Humble” is not the first adjective that comes to mind.

Just remember you don’t get to take it with you when you exit

I’m sure the next tenants will appreciate it.

Congratulations. You’ve officially turned the Rose Garden into the entrance of a Courtyard by Marriott.

Revolting. I’m not keen on the sculpture either.

Look, lady, you’ve got less than two months before you’re outta there. Just find yourself a corner somewhere and be quiet.
