MI Sheriff Gave Stomach-Churning Description Of “Sullen” Trump-Supporting Crumbleys’ Demeanor Inside Jail: “We’ve Not Seen Any Remorse”

In the midst of the Oxford High School shooting and the subsequent arrest of not only the suspected shooter Ethan Crumbley, but his parents Jennifer and James Crumbley as well, Michigan’s Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard appeared on MSNBC to discuss the overall demeanor of the Crumbley family, who are now all officially incarcerated together after Ethan fatally opened fire at his high school — killing 4 and wounding an additional 7 students at Oxford High.

Jennifer and James Crumbley are currently both being held in the same jail as their son Ethan, on charges of involuntary manslaughter, on a steep bond of half a million dollars each. The pair was arrested and arraigned, after reportedly attempting to go into hiding after the charges went public, though their defense attorney has tried to claim that they had plans to turn themselves in to authorities.

Sheriff Michael Bouchard spoke with MSNBC host Alex Witt and revealed that, while the parents of Ethan Crumbley are uncommunicative and “sullen,” they appear to be heavily lacking in the remorse department, despite the fact that they gifted their 15-year-old son turned school shooter a handgun for an early Christmas gift, and apparently, neither does Ethan.

After noting that all 3 of the Crumbleys are currently being held in the same correctional facility, Witt asked the Sheriff, “Let me ask you about the three defendants all of whom are now in your jail. Can you describe their demeanor?”

“They’re not talking much to us on a number of levels,” Bouchard responded. “Obviously sullen, but not a lot of conversation. We have them in my jail, all in separate and segregated spots keeping a close eye on them.”

Witt wasn’t quite satisfied with leaving the Sheriff’s response there, though, going on to press for more information on the overall demeanor in jail.

“Yeah, when you say sullen, elaborate a bit on that. is there sadness?” the MSNBC host pressed. “Does there — I mean, sullen indicates to me a level of defiance. Is there any remorse being expressed?”

Sheriff Bouchard’s response made our stomachs drop.

“We’ve not seen any remorse,” Bouchard answered. “I don’t know whether the sullenness is from being caught or whether it’s from other emotions that are going on, but they haven’t expressed it to us.”

“Are they able to see each other and communicate with each other? Are they closely housed?” Witt questioned.

“Absolutely not,” the Sheriff answered, going on to firmly repeat himself, “Absolutely not.”
