Michigan AG Fires Back At Trump: “Stop Obsessing About Those Women From Michigan. You’re Not Our Type”

That's a lot of shade.

President Donald Trump once again lashed out at Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel on Twitter on Sunday just before he went golfing while leaving Americans’ welfare in the balance over the COVID-19 relief bill he refused to sign for days. Trump tweeted, citing a link from far-right-wing site Breitbart, that Nessel should be sanctioned over her move to sanction the attorneys who pushed easily debunkable falsehoods in court while backing the president’s attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

In his tweet, Trump said that the lawyers who may be facing sanctions are “true patriots who are fighting for the truth” and that, instead, Nessel “should be sanctioned.” That’s Trump’s way of saying, “I’m rubber, you’re glue. Everything bounces off me and sticks to you.”

Trump has repeatedly criticized Nessel, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, and Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, so the state’s AG let him know that they aren’t into him.

Nessel wasn’t taking his shit.

She’s looking forward to Biden’s presidency, where she won’t end up being mean-tweeted by the president of the United States.

Nessel wants to hold the attorneys accountable for their actions.

“These are flagrant lies that Ms. Powell is submitting it to of all places the United States Supreme Court of all places in some cases,” she said in an interview on CNN last week. “It’s disturbing, and it undermines our entire profession, and she has to be held accountable. We’d be asking there be action taken against her law license, including potential disbarment.”

Trump has continued to cast doubt on our election, but he’s always been this way. The president tried to say he won the popular vote in 2016 with wild-eyed claims of widespread voter fraud that does not exist. So, he’s just Trump — a man who remains unfit for office.
