Mike Bloomberg Just Responded To Trump’s Attacks, Appeared To Put Him In His Place

That's got to sting.

Donald Trump loves to assign disparaging nicknames to his political rivals, adversaries, and even some of his former officials. Trump called former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton “Crooked Hillary,” then at points just referred to her as “Crooked” to drill home his political messaging. Trump referred to House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Adam Schiff as “Little Adam Schiff,” and “Shifty Schiff.”

The list of monikers Trump has childishly given to his adversaries is long, and it’s always a classic case of projection. It’s Trump who is insecure about his height, and the president is the one who is corrupt. The former frozen steak salesman took to Twitter to lash out at “Mini Mike” Bloomberg and his “corrupt” news outlet.

“Is corrupt Bloomberg News going to say what a pathetic debater Mini Mike is, that he doesn’t respect our great farmers, or that he has violated campaign finance laws at the highest and most sinister level with “payoffs” all over the place?” Trump tweeted.

Well, since he asked, Bloomberg answered to remind Trump that he was impeached.

Because politics isn’t weird enough, we have two rich old white men trolling each other on Twitter. Trump should have that conversation, though, about campaign violation laws with his former attorney, Michael Cohen, who arranged payments during the 2016 election to silence women who claimed to have affairs with the former reality show star.

Bloomberg is funding his own campaign, and that’s something Trump promised to do with his campaign — but of course, that never happened. Trump failed to keep his campaign promise of releasing his tax returns, and Bloomberg, who is far wealthier, and a self-made billionaire, has promised to release his tax returns.

It’s interesting that Trump doesn’t call Vladimir Putin “Mini Vlad” since the Russian dictator is the same height as Michael Bloomberg. Trump just does this in an attempt to emasculate his opponent, but it doesn’t look like that’s working out very well.

Bloomberg is set to take the debate stage for the first time since entering the race on Wednesday evening, and we’re pretty sure Trump will be watching. Bloomberg will have to answer for his stop and frisk policy while he was the mayor of New York City, as well as other issues that have come up, but his height is a non-issue.
