Mike Pence Is Reportedly Set To Publicly Slam Putin Apologists In The GOP During RNC Event Tonight In An Almost Assuredly Veiled Jab At His Old Boss Donald Trump, Who Recently Called The Dictator “Savvy”

It looks like Pence is throwing down the gauntlet.

As life continues to fall apart from pretty much every conceivable direction for Donald Trump, it looks like his former Vice President and right-hand man is gearing up to kick him while he’s down; again.

As I’m sure you’ve noticed, Pence and Trump have been consistently on the outs ever since the now-former vice president refused to go along with Donald’s unhinged plan to have Pence refuse to accept the results of the Electoral College votes in Joe Biden’s favor for the 2020 presidential election.

But over the last couple of months, the pair has gone from quiet animosity towards each other, to full-on shots fired in public, as Trump falls further and further into his manic delusion that the election was somehow stolen from him through mass amounts of nonexistent fraud, instead of just accepting the fact that he’s a loser.

Now, as the fate of the world as we know it seems to hang in the balance after Trump’s favorite Russian dictator invaded and attacked Ukraine, it looks as though Pence is preparing to go in for the proverbial kill shot at an upcoming event.

The annual Republican National Committee spring retreat in New Orleans is tonight, where the former vice president is slated to speak. The guest list, of course, features a multitude of high-profile Republican names, including ex-President Trump himself. And while it’s unclear as to whether or not Donald will actually show up, Washington Post political reporter Josh Dawsey says Pence is absolutely going and is apparently planning to deliver remarks that are almost guaranteed to hit his old boss where it hurts.

Dawsey took to his Twitter today, claiming to have obtained an advanced copy of Pence’s RNC retreat speech.

Already, the former VP is sure to piss off the former president, as Dawsey claims Pence is planning to call on the Republican party to essentially forget about the results of the 2020 presidential election, where he will reportedly say, “We cannot win by fighting yesterday’s battles, or by relitigating the past.”

But believe it or not, that’s not even the best part when it comes to the apparent jabs Pence is reportedly preparing to make towards the former Commander in Chief.

With the current state of things in the world right now, Dawsey goes on to report that Pence is preparing to tell the audience tonight, “There is no room in this party for apologists for Putin.”

While Dawsey doesn’t say that Pence will directly call out Donald Trump, it’s almost impossible, at this point, for Pence’s alleged upcoming statement to not be about his old boss, at least to a degree, after Trump spent the last several days heaping his praises on Vladimir Putin, seemingly making excuses for the Russian dictator following his attack on Ukraine, and trying his damndest to take credit for everything from NATO to Ukraine’s weapons and success thus far.

I’m sure we can expect a rage-filled “official Trump statement” before night’s end. But frankly, I’m just really hoping Donald shows up to hear it in person.
