MSNBC Anchor Appears To Use The N-Word Live On National TV While Reporting On Kobe Bryant’s Death

This is absolutely NO excuse for this.

In case you were one of those people who were of the belief that racism just isn’t an issue anymore, that people are just overreacting, we’re whiny, whatever your excuse is to not recognize the real issues that people of color are still facing to the very day — let me just stop you right there.

As we’re all painfully aware at this point, multiple reports have confirmed that Lakers basketball star Kobe Bryant, along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant and six other passengers, including the pilot lost their lives before their time in a tragic helicopter crash today.

Frankly, around the world, people were rocked by the news of the tragedy. However, even during such a horrendous time, racism still continues to run rampant.

In a new video that’s quickly gone viral all over various social media platforms, what appears to be the voice of MSNBC host Alison Morris, a former anchor with Trump’s beloved, state-run Fox News Network, can be heard uttering what we’re almost certain is the N-word while reporting on the tragedy that took the lives of Kobe Bryant, his daughter, and several others today.

In answering an unidentified guest on the segment, the anchor can be heard saying, “Yea, it seems like he was just the kind of athlete, the kind of star that was perfectly cast on the Los Angeles ‘N*ggers’… Los Angeles Lakers.”

The host quickly attempted to correct herself before breaking away from the segment as fast as humanly possible, stating, “Stick with us, we’re gonna go to…”

Honestly, I don’t even know what to say about this. I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before it’s declared from the rooftops that it was little more than an accident. A slip of the tongue. A proverbial “brain fart.” But frankly, there’s no excuse that I’m willing to accept for this bullshit. None, whatsoever.

UPDATE:

Since the publishing of this article, MSNBC reporter Alison Morris released a statement on Twitter stating that she did not use the racist term on-air as it sounds. Instead, she mistakenly stuttered and attempted to combine the words “Lakers” and “Knicks,” making it sound as though she used the term. She apologized for any confusion.
