MSNBC Host Theorizes Trump Camp Is Paralyzed By “Real Paranoia,” Just Waiting For The Next Legal “Shoe To Drop”

The fear and paranoia is finally setting in for Trump and his people.

Things have reached a point now where there is simply no denying that scandal-ridden, disgraced former President Donald Trump is finally facing down what is shaping up to be some real, serious trouble for the first time in his 76 years of life. We have watched, for so many long, hard, terrifying years now, as the man committed crime after crime after crime, and continually got away with almost everything just short of cold-blooded murder — four of which he was quite literally running this nation, albeit into the ground, from inside the Executive Mansion.

But Donald’s crimes and transgressions are finally beginning to catch up with him — as he faces down an unending and ever-growing stream of lawsuits and investigations for everything from felony election interference to violations of the Espionage Act, hailing from coast to coast, from Georgia to New York to the US Department of Justice — and things have seemingly devolved to a point that even his own closest insiders are beginning to realize that the end is near.

This morning, MSNBC’s Morning Joe segment saw a panel discussion about former President Donald Trump’s chances regarding not only running for but actually winning a second term in the White House, come 2024. During the discussion, network host Jonathan Lemire offered up his highly probable theory that Trump and his inner circle of allies and confidants are currently preoccupied and paralyzed with “real paranoia” over when the next legal blow is going to hit.

The panel kicked off with a discussion about a new poll from the New York Times that showed 54 percent of those polled believed that Donald Trump poses a true threat to democracy in the United States. The majority of the MSNBC panel still believes, in spite of the new Times poll, that Trump will ultimately end up securing the 2024 Republican nomination, and that Trump Camp is optimistically hopeful that indictments against Donald Trump will only serve to further fire up his rabid, cult-like base.

But nevertheless, many of Donald’s closest insiders are feeling the paranoia sink in as the former president faces down an array of serious legal perils, including the Justice Department’s thundering investigation into the Mar-a-Lago document scandal, the January 6th House Select Committee’s ongoing investigation into Capitol insurrection, the Georgia Grand Jury investigation and hearing into election tampering, and now the new, bombshell lawsuit handed down by New York Attorney General Letitia James against the former president and his eldest three children, over their corrupt and illegal alleged business practices.

Lemire, host of MSNBC’s Way Too Early, explained that while the Trump Camp may be playing tough in public, the fear and nervousness surrounding the scandal-ridden ex-president is palpable behind closed doors.

“In terms of Trump world, two things — a common phrase around here — two things can be true at once,” Lemire said in this morning’s segment. “On one hand, there’s a growing certain that his inner circle has really shrunk in recent months. There’s a handful of aides with him, whether at Bedminster or Mar-a-Lago. Even Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, some of his most trusted advisors, are now largely on the outer rim of Trump world at this moment.”

“And there’s real paranoia as to which shoe could drop in terms of investigations,” the MSNBC host went on to explain. “They’re not sure which is worse. Is it going to be the Mar-a-Lago document case? Is it going to be what comes out of Georgia? Obviously now we have the lawsuits from the attorney general of New York state and, of course, the ongoing DOJ probe into January 6.”

Later on in the segment, Lemire added, “The more that Trump is in legal peril, the more the chance that the Republican Party will rally around him — that’s what they think, anyway.”

At this point, Trump and his people should be nervous… And then some.
