The House Judiciary Committee hearing with Attorney General Bill Barr on Tuesday was a disaster on every level as Donald Trump’s AG appeared to struggle to answer whether it’s appropriate for a president to solicit foreign election assistance in an election. The answer to that, of course, is no — because it’s illegal. “It depends on what kind of assistance,” Barr told Rep. David Cicilline (D-R.I.) with a straight face. The display of incompetence was staggering, to say the least. From one question to the next, Barr just didn’t seem to understand the Constitution or fundamental laws. And you’d think Barr would have learned from Donald Trump’s quid pro quo fiasco with Ukraine that a president should never do that. After all, that sort of thing opens up inquiries that can lead to an impeachment.
At any rate, Barr also made excuses for allowing Trump’s stormtroopers to rough up American citizens that have been demonstrating over George Floyd’s murder by police officers. Barr even dismissed the beating of Navy veteran Christopher David in Portland, Oregon. The video of that jaw-dropping incident went viral as Americans witnessed a peaceful protester — a veteran — get his hand broken in two places by federal officers.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi wasn’t having any of it and called out Barr on his performance today, and for allowing protesters to get tear-gassed and flash-banged at Lafayette Square.

Pelosi has a way with words, and “blob” seems to fit Barr perfectly as he sat today at the Congressional hearing stoically and devoid of emotion for American citizens. Personally, I see him as more of a fascist blob, but that’s just me. November will be payback time for all of the damage and suffering this administration has inflicted on this country.
