Donald Trump just can’t let go of a grudge. If the president fought the COVID-19 pandemic like he fights his critics, this country might have a chance. Instead, Trump is busy shitposting on Twitter. Trump’s grievances with Mitt Romney are two-fold as the Utah Senator was the sole Republican who voted in favor of impeaching the president. And Romney also recently described Trump’s dismissal of a string of inspector generals as a “threat to accountable democracy and a fissure in the constitutional balance of power,” and told a coronavirus hearing panel last week that he found “our testing record nothing to celebrate whatsoever.”
The US death rate for the novel coronavirus is now at 89,932 and Trump’s reaction is to call Mitt Romney a “LOSER” over Barack Obama’s reelection victory. Trump is obsessed with former President Barack Obama and has lashed out at his predecessor on a daily basis.
This is just embarrassing amid the national crisis. Actually, it’s cringe-worthy at any time for a president to launch a tweet like this.

Wow!
What an erudite, nuanced, intelligent analysis by the president of the United States of America.

Welcome to this week.
Nearly 90,000 American lives have been lost.
The virus is still spreading.
And what is Trump’s major concern? Why himself, of course. #VoteBlueToEndThisNightmare🇺🇸

Textbook projection! You’re flailing about like a carp on the dock. Name calling is what third graders do. #OneTermPresident

Trump is failing once again to unify this country as we shelter at home to flatten the coronavirus curve. We need someone who is capable of being in charge, but Trump once again displayed that that is beyond his grasp. Democrats and Republicans would both unite if this president took charge amid the national crisis, but instead, he’s too busy dividing us.
