According to a new book all about America’s Third Lady, Donald Trump was so scared of his current wife when the infamous Access Hollywood tapes were released that it took him upwards of two hours to even face her.

The revelation regarding Trump’s reaction when it came to his wife catching wind of the tape came from an excerpt from Washington Post reporter Mary Jordan’s upcoming profile on Melania Trump, The Art of Her Deal, published by CBS News.

Included in the excerpt are details surrounding the immediate reaction and subsequent fallout that took place when Trump, a then-candidate for president, was shown the 11-year-old footage in 2016 that featured him telling Access Hollywood host Billy Bush that he tries to “f*ck” married women and of course, the infamous “Grab ’em by the p*ssy” statement.

According to the excerpt from Jordan’s book, Trump first learned of the tape while he was on the 25th floor of Trump Tower, along with then-New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and various other advisors, after they were shown the incriminating tape by then-campaign press secretary Hope Hicks.

Governor Christie allegedly referred to Melania, who was already married to Donald Trump when the recording was taken back in 2005, as “the elephant not in the room.”

The incriminating 2005 tape was released by the Washington Post on October 7, 2016, just one month ahead of the 2016 presidential election.

Jordan claims in her book that the entire room went dead silent upon listening to the now-infamous recording.

One unnamed source that was in the room told Jordan, “He turned red; red was coming up his neck to his ears. I think he understood early on that it was going to create ramifications for him at home, too.”

Former Governor Christie told Jordan, “Everybody was saying, ‘You should go upstairs and see Melania. Why don’t you go upstairs now and see Melania?’ And he was not rushing to go up there.”

“I said to him, ‘It ain’t going to get any easier. The longer you wait, it’s not going to get any easier,'” Christie allegedly adding, speaking to Trump.

An additional unnamed source added, “That night he seemed frightened to go face his wife.”

The excerpt from Jordan’s book goes on to detail the reportedly calm, cool, and collected reaction Melania Trump allegedly had when her husband finally plucked up the nerve to face her upstairs… Two hours later.

Jordan claims that Melania had a strong faith in Donald’s chances at the presidency and was far more concerned with the possibility that he may have ruined those chances with the tape than she was about the personal aspect of what her husband was recorded saying.

It was only ten days later that Melania Trump went public during an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper to defend her husband’s past remarks, labeling them as “boy talk” that he had been pressured into joining in on.

In case you were still up in the air on Melania Trump, this excerpt pretty much proves that she’s every bit as bad as her husband is.
