In the midst of his formal impeachment inquiry, Donald Trump is acting just like he did during former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe — obstructing the investigation at every turn by demanding that his people blatantly defy Congressional subpoenas and refuse to cooperate with any efforts laid out by the Oversight Committee. Because he knows damn good and well that if these people testify under oath, they either have to commit perjury or fuck his eyeballs out.
In fact, Donald has gone so far in the past, and again with the impeachment proceedings, to not only assert executive privilege over people that have worked or do work for him but over people that have never even been a member of his administration as well.
But it seems that not everyone in the circus they’re passing off as a presidential administration is willing to play Trump’s game of obstruction.
Senior national security official Tim Morrison is scheduled to give his testimony next Thursday and his attorney Barbara Van Gelder has made it very clear that her client has full intentions to comply with any subpoenas.

“If subpoenaed, Mr. Morrison plans to appear for his deposition,” Van Gelder stated, making it strikingly clear that they believe a Congression subpoena outweighs Trump’s commands to defy it.
If Morrison follows through with his promise to comply, it will make him the very first current member of Trump’s administration to do so — which we all know will likely quickly lead to him becoming a former member of Trump’s administration.
Evidently, Morrison is a witness to EU Ambassador Gordon Sondland’s conversation with a high-ranking government official in Ukraine in which he discussed the quid pro quo of military aid in exchange for political dirt on Biden with Ukraine — the biggest allegation to come of this investigation.
Ukraine special envoy William Taylor has already stated in his testimony that his knowledge on this information came from Morrison, so this testimony will serve as the proverbial horse’s mouth.
Things are going from bad to worse for Trump. Now we just hope that Morrison follows through.
